Over the next 10 weeks, as we journey in the Christian calendar from the celebration of the birth of Christ to remembering his death and rejoicing in his resurrection, we will be turning our attention to the life and ministry of Jesus. Specifically, we will be looking at the words Jesus used to describe himself–his “I Am” statements as recorded in John’s Gospel. I invite you during this time to read through or listen (or both) to the Gospel of John. As you do this and as you listen to the messages of this series, here are some questions to consider: what are you noticing about Jesus? What is the Holy Spirit stirring in you? What do Jesus’ words about himself mean for you and for us as a church family? How might we engage in our work and relationships differently? I am excited to reflect together over these weeks on Jesus’ words about himself to us. May we be continually transformed more into his likeness.
