About Us

Since 1730, Gingrichs Mennonite Church has been a vital part of the Christian heritage of the Lebanon Valley.  We are glad you stopped by our website and hope that you will enjoy learning more about us.  We invite you to come visit us and see what Gingrichs Mennonite Church is all about.

We are a fellowship seeking to know God through Jesus Christ. Our desire is to grow deeper in our relationship with God and to invite others on the adventure with us. We’ve accepted the challenge laid out by author Phillip Yancey in his book, Vanishing Grace, to become a fellowship of Artists, Activists, and Adventurers who live out their life of following Jesus in their daily work, leisure time, families, businesses, neighborhoods, schools, and in every area of culture.

Our Artists are people who love to create. They seek to build relationships with others and to honor and enjoy God through painting, drawing, writing, photography, music, baking, sewing and other creative outlets.

Our Activists are “hands on” people who see needs and work toward solutions by being the hands and feet of Jesus. Some have done disaster relief, construction, and health care delivery. Others are involved in environmental and Creation care; ministry to prison inmates and their families; and supporting local and global efforts to alleviate hunger, homelessness, and poverty. Still others have played significant roles in addressing elder care issues, mental illness and other psychosocial needs in the region.

Our Adventurers are pilgrims traveling together on the quest to know God through Jesus Christ. They don’t claim to have all the answers, but they lovingly walk alongside one another and offer a warm welcome to any who wish to join the adventure.

As part of the LMC family of churches, we believe the Bible is the inspired word of God. We believe that Jesus, God’s Son, died for the sins of the whole world and rose from the dead to bring His peace and reconciliation to the world. We work side by side to bring His peace to human hearts, families, communities, churches, and the world.

So do not fear, for I am with you; do not be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you; I will uphold you with my righteous right hand.

Isaiah 41:10
