Sermon Description

Have you ever had an experience when you felt as if you just couldn’t bear to hear any more advice or recommendations from your well-meaning family or friends? It is in those times when I wish people would give just enough information, but not more than what I could handle.
When I look at the relationships Jesus had with people, it seems as if He got this concept of not overwhelming people. Instead, He woos them. When we see Jesus talking about the Kingdom of Heaven—the most real thing on earth—He uses everyday stuff to teach Kingdom principles. He does not overwhelm the people. He came to save nor gives them more than what the situation requires. Jesus models that doctrine is not what sticks, but rather a real-life relational experience of meeting the person of Jesus. Luke 19:5. “When Jesus came by, he looked up at Zacchaeus and called him by name. “Zacchaeus!” he said. “Quick, come down! I must be a guest in your home today.”
